Your\u00a0PDF\u00a0files open by default in Adobe. But, what if you want to edit them?\u00a0You\u00a0cannot do that within Adobe Reader, and the Adobe software that does\u00a0let you make changes to\u00a0PDFs\u00a0is not cheap.\u00a0Microsoft Word to the rescue!<\/a><\/p>\n

Launch Microsoft Word. Attempt to open a document like you normally would by selecting \u201cFile\u201d and then \u201cOpen.\u201d \u00a0On the bottom right of the\u00a0window that pops up, click the drop-down menu. Choose \u201cPDF,\u201d and then browse to the file that you wish to edit. \u00a0Once you open it, you can make your edits. You may lose some of the formatting in the process, but it\u2019s nothing that you cannot overcome.<\/p>\n

2. Collaborate in Real Time<\/strong><\/p>\n

With Microsoft Office, you and a colleague can edit the same document or spreadsheet at the same time. This feature is actually built into Office 2013. No magic needed.\u00a0It\u2019s a little bit of a process<\/a>,\u00a0but will pay off once configured.<\/p>\n

First, save your document, spreadsheet, or presentation \u2013 whatever it may be\u00a0within the Microsoft Office suite\u00a0\u2013\u00a0to\u00a0 OneDrive<\/a>. Once the document is saved, select \u201cFile,\u201d \u201cShare\u201d (on the left side of the screen), and then send out your invites.<\/p>\n

If all goes accordingly, your colleague on the other end\u00a0will now be able to\u00a0review and edit your work in real time. You may need to adjust\u00a0your Microsoft Office settings in order to do this, but you can always\u00a0request help from your IT department or an IT services company, if you have any trouble.<\/p>\n

3. Ignore Reply-All Email Annoyances<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever been included on\u00a0one of those spam email threads that have absolutely nothing to do with you, but someone (or multiple people) keep on hitting the reply-all button?\u00a0Ignore these frequent annoyances with Outlook!<\/a><\/p>\n

Select the\u00a0chain of messages. Then, in the top of the Outlook window, to the left of the \u201cDelete\u201d button, you will see \u201cIgnore.\u201d By choosing this command, any future messages will now\u00a0be sent straight to the Deleted Items folder, helping you cut down on\u00a0inbox\u00a0clutter.<\/p>\n
